Western Bay of Plenty Population Boom

No not really but at least the population is increasing. From 2006 to 2013 the Western Bay of Plenty's population has increased from 41,826 in 2006 to 43,695 in 2013. How amazing is that? But dosen't include Tauranga, which has a whopping 114,789 people as of 2013. Although the Western Bay of Plenty is way off Auckland in population standards.(roughly 1.4 Million) We are still good for New Zeland standards. Now I can't be all talk so here are the :) and :( facts:

1. Tauranga grew about 11,000 which is about 75% of the total gained.
2. The most unusual thing is-PSA was supposed to have disasterous effects population wise on Te Puke. Te Puke has defyed the odds to countiue to increase it's population to 7,494.
3. Whakatane and Rotorua both dropped in population.
4. Election boundaries have surpassed the limit(60,000) meaning the boundaries will have to be changed next year.
5. At the average rate that it's going, Island View – Pios Beach will become a ghost town in 85 years. :(
6. At the rate it's going, Paengaroa's population will pass 1000 in 2068. (Can't wait!)
That's enough Census info for you. If not then go to my other blog, wait two days and you can see Tauranga's Census results and more. But from me, GOODBYE! PS: I have always wanted to try this: @Tauranga (Oh Yeah!)
