Today(Sunday) is the premiere of the one and only Stranded Sundays. What is a Stranded Sunday? A Stranded Sunday is an event held on one Sunday each month at Tauranga CBD. Basically what happens is that from 11am to 8pm The Strand, a street, is closed and people are free to do whatever they like, apart from being drunk, having fights you get the point. This initiative is aimed at bringing "life" back into the CBD and to encourage the many offers instore Downtown Tauranga.
